I approach my practice from a warm, nurturing, spiritual, and compassionate place, with a firm belief that all of us have a right to live safely and free from shame and oppression. I believe that we come into this world whole and well, with everything we need to be successful; it's society that often strips us of our joy, uniqueness, belonging, and authenticity. In our work together, we will look at past experiences and beliefs you've internalized along the way, collaborating on how to rebuild a strong, healthy relationship with yourself filled with compassion, understanding, and hope. We will acknowledge and identify traumas and wounds that have taken place and develop coping skills and tools you can sustainably use to feel better about yourself and more safely navigate our world.
I specialize in working with LGBTQ, neurodivergent, and ENM/polyamorous populations, communities that I am personally part of. People with these identities are often made to feel "wrong" or "broken" when living under a capitalistic, normative, and individualistic society. Many may have been traumatized or victimized by policies and structures that are designed to uphold the status quo, leaving us to feel shame and self-loathing. This could have come from school, peers, parents, media, work, etc. Constantly feeling out of place or unsafe can often manifest as depression, anxiety, OCD, or CPTSD; I will work with you to address both those symptoms (and their daily impact) and the root causes of them.
