Great to meet you!

A warm and intentional place to lay down what you’ve been carrying, feel truly seen, and gently reconnect with the parts of yourself that are ready to heal and grow.

...

Hi! I’m Mattie. I earned my master’s degree in clinical counseling and psychology from Eastern University in 2018. I am skilled in treating trauma, substance use disorder, grief and loss, personality, and mood disorders. I use evidence-based practices like CBT and DBT. As a licensed counselor, I am dedicated to personalized care and helping clients improve their quality of life.

My approach to therapy

I see therapy as a space where you can exhale—a place where you don’t have to have it all together or know exactly what to say. My goal is to truly understand you: your story, your struggles, and the strengths you might not even realize you have yet. I use approaches like CBT and DBT to help you make sense of what’s happening inside and build tools that actually fit your life, not someone else’s idea of it. Together, we’ll move at your pace, exploring what healing and balance look like for you. My hope is that our work helps you feel grounded, more connected to yourself, and ready to grow in ways that feel real and lasting.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know you. I want you to feel comfortable, safe, and supported as we talk about what’s bringing you to therapy and what you’d like to get out of it. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out—we’ll move at your pace. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your story, and together we’ll start to create a space that feels grounded, open, and genuine. My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling seen, heard, and a little more hopeful about the path ahead.
