Great to meet you!

I am a dual board-certified, doctoral-prepared Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). My academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Miami (2009), followed by a Master of Science in Nursing Education from the University of Phoenix (2012). I earned a Post-Master’s FNP Certificate from Chamberlain University (2017), a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Chamberlain University (2020), and a Post-Master’s PMHNP Certificate from Herzing University (2023).

As a dual board-certified provider—Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)—I deliver holistic, evidence-based care to individuals across the lifespan in a variety of clinical settings. My approach emphasizes integrated physical and mental health treatment tailored to the unique needs of diverse populations. In addition to my clinical practice, I have served in academic roles since 2013 and have been a dedicated faculty member at Miami Regional University since 2017, where I am committed to mentoring the next generation of nursing professionals and advancing excellence in nursing education.

I am also a certified Trauma-Informed Specialist with experience in client-centered psychiatric care. My practice includes diagnosing and treating mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders through psychotherapeutic interventions and medication management. I specialize in providing compassionate, comprehensive mental health services, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for substance use and chemical dependency disorders. My professional role is multifaceted—encompassing responsibilities as a clinician, educator, therapist, and mental health advocate.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to care is holistic, compassionate, and client centered. I integrate evidence-based practices with a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive lens to ensure every client feels safe, respected, and heard. I strive to understand the unique experiences and goals of everyone, and I collaborate closely with clients to develop treatment plans that reflect their values, strengths, and needs. Whether addressing mental health concerns, managing medications, or exploring therapy options, I aim to create a supportive and empowering space that promotes healing and growth.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect to leave each session feeling supported, understood, and more equipped to manage their mental health. Together, we work on increasing insight, building effective coping skills, and making meaningful progress toward personal goals. Clients also gain a clearer understanding of their symptoms, treatment options, and wellness strategies, along with the reassurance that they are not alone on their journey. My goal is for every client to walk away with a sense of hope, empowerment, and a deeper connection to their own resilience.
