Great to meet you!

My practice is inclusive & welcoming to all. The work of therapy takes place in a partnership between the therapist and the client. We work together to contribute to the healing process. People often feel pulled between familiar patterns of behavior & the desire for change. We determine the pace of therapy together. I do have advanced expertise in treating psychological trauma and continue to access the most recent research and training in the field.

My approach to therapy

I am a psychodynamically trained therapist. However, I am also well-trained in evidence-based treatment models, including trauma-specific models. I establish treatment depending on the needs of each person and integrate attachment theory, trauma theory, psychoeducation, CBT, EMDR, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused treatment.

What you can expect from me

The early sessions are for creating a safe space to be vulnerable, exploring challenges & concerns, and determining the focus of treatment. As we begin working together, we determine the pace of treatment. Clients should expect to identify behavioral patterns, experience a reduction in symptoms, and develop a hopeful outlook. Ultimately, the outcome should be improved relationships, greater self-efficacy, and the ability to manage stress.
