Great to meet you!

Hello,I am Maurice Hill, a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Board Certified Counselor. I accomplished my academic goals; while attending Governors State University in Illinois.

My clinical career over the past 8 years include Intensive out patient therapy, Crisis Clinician(Emergency Room) and working with community health agencies as a therapist. I have served over 30 years as a public servant and I take pride in being a U.S Army veteran.

My primary theoretical approaches are but not limited to Cognitive behavioral therapies and Brief solution focused therapy.

My approach to therapy

I have experience working with, adults, couples, and families. I have experience in supporting: clients in the following areas; anxiety, depression, self-esteem, grief, trauma, family/relationship conflict, development of coping skills. I use collaborative and strength-based approaches rooted in psychodynamics and cognitive-behavioral theories.

What you can expect from me

The goal of counseling is for the client and therapist to partner, exploring ways to promote personal growth. Progress is measured as clients discover how to remove the obstacles hindering their ability to cope with life’s challenges. I look forward to assisting you through your wellness journey.
