Great to meet you!

I’ve counseled people in some form or fashion for most of my life. When I was younger, friends came to me with their problems and left our conversation feeling better. Seeing the change in them was moving and made me realize I wanted to do this professionally. However, my journey to becoming a therapist was an unusual one. I was a monk for more than a decade and worked abroad. During that time, I gained a deeper understanding of the human experience and struggle. It shaped me as a therapist and has since helped me identify people’s deeper issues as well as give concrete and practical advice.

That’s what I care about the most – helping people improve their lives. Is that something you want? Are you looking to grow? Are you finding that your life is stagnant and you need a change? Sometimes the best way to get unstuck is by working with a trained professional such as myself. I’ve helped countless people transform their lives in large and small way

I can support you with work-life balance, trauma, addiction, and mindfulness. Together, we’ll build the life you want—one step at a time. Reach out today to see if we’re a good fit.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, I help individuals manage anxiety, depression, trauma, and life stress. Using evidence-based strategies and mindfulness tools, I support clients in understanding their experiences, building coping skills, and creating meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’ve been experiencing, what you would like help with, and what you hope to gain from therapy.

I’ll ask some questions about your background and current concerns, but there is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with. I also encourage you to ask questions and let me know what you need from the therapeutic process.

Most importantly, the first session is about beginning to build a comfortable, respectful, and collaborative relationship and determining how we can best work together toward your goals.
