Great to meet you!

I am an easygoing, supportive, and empathetic therapist and person. I have spent most of my counseling career as an addictions counselor (substance use and problem gambling), and through that experience, I have worked with many co-occurring issues/conditions such as anxiety, bereavement, depression, career/life transitions, and trauma. I am sensitive to disability and multicultural concerns, and consider myself to be a strong ally to the LGBTQIA+ community.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am SMART Recovery certified. As such, behavioral therapies (REBT, CBT, DBT) make up my primary therapeutic frameworks, Motivational Interviewing is what carries me through those frameworks, and being Solution-focused is my end goal in my sessions, all the while being Person-centered throughout my counseling relationships.

What you can expect from our first session

After our sessions, my clients can expect to feel empowered to make well-thought out decisions in their lives and approach their lives with confidence.
