Great to meet you!

My role as your therapist is to create a safe and supportive environment during our sessions to foster trust and facilitate change. Our therapeutic relationship will be built on collaboration, positive regard, honesty, and an understanding of the issues you are presenting within your specific cultural context. I approach my work through an intersectionality lens, recognizing that clients often face multiple layers of challenges rather than a single concern. By addressing various issues simultaneously and using psychoeducation to teach valuable insights, I aim to empower my clients and reduce the length of counseling needed. This approach enables them to take charge of their lives effectively.

My approach to therapy

It is essential to meet the client where they are emotionally, mentally, and psychologically. The therapeutic relationship is the foundation for trust that allows for mental and emotional growth.

What you can expect from me

My clientele ranges from ages 6 to 75, and my therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Supportive Therapy. I believe it is essential to be culturally sensitive when working with all clients, as this helps me understand how they perceive their presenting problems within the context of their culture. By stepping into my clients' world, I gain a better understanding of their perspectives, allowing me to support them more effectively.
