Great to meet you!

Greetings! I am a licensed professional counselor with 7 years of experience in the mental health field. I specialize in working with clients who suffer from anxiety disorders and OCD. Other interests include helping clients with trauma, substance use, and difficulties regulating their emotions. I have worked in a variety of settings including a college counseling center, a residential treatment facility for youthful offenders, and a primary care medical setting.

My approach to therapy

In terms of my style, I consider myself warm and empathetic. I try to make therapy a comfortable place where clients can joke and talk freely about whatever is bothering them. I consider myself to be present focused and action oriented. I aim to push clients out of their comfort zones, through the use of mindfulness and behavioral experiments. Finally, I hope to be collaborative in helping you accomplish the goals that are most important to you.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to feel heard and validated during sessions. Clients can expect to gain further insight into some of their different struggles and become better aware of their emotions in the present moment. I aim to help clients learn new coping skills to solve problems in their lives. This includes being better able to regulate emotions, manage anxiety, engage in more positive self-talk, and reducing engagement in problematic health behaviors.
