Great to meet you!

If you’ve been holding it all together on the outside but feeling overwhelmed underneath, you’re not alone. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with nearly 10 years of experience, including inpatient work at Hillcrest Behavioral Health in Birmingham, Alabama, where I supported adolescents and adults with mood and trauma-related concerns. I enjoy working with teens and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, identity development, academic stress, burnout, and family dynamics, and I also support adults, including women experiencing postpartum concerns. I provide a calm, supportive space where you can build self-awareness, release patterns that no longer serve you, strengthen emotional regulation, and feel empowered to communicate your needs and advocate for yourself.

My approach to therapy

My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and respected. I integrate evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral and skills-based strategies, while tailoring our work to your individual needs and goals. Together, we’ll explore patterns, emotions, and experiences at a pace that feels manageable, with gentle guidance and thoughtful feedback that supports clarity, confidence, and emotional stability.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about connection and understanding. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from the process. I’ll ask questions to better understand your story, while you remain in control of what you choose to share. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful, with a clearer sense of direction for the work we’ll do together.
