Great to meet you!

If you’re navigating complex mental health challenges and want care that respects your lived experience, culture, and autonomy, therapy can be a place to feel supported rather than judged. I work with adults who are managing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use concerns, and serious mental health symptoms, especially those impacted by systems, transitions, or re-entry into the community.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin with over eight years of clinical practice and more than twenty years working in human services. My background includes supporting individuals in community-based, re-entry, and forensic settings. I bring a person-centered, culturally responsive approach that honors your strengths while acknowledging the realities you’ve faced. Therapy with me is about meeting you where you are and working toward meaningful, sustainable change.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy with respect, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. You are the expert on your life, and therapy is a collaborative process where your voice, choices, and goals guide the work.

My approach is trauma-informed and culturally responsive, recognizing how culture, race, gender identity, sexuality, faith, and social experiences shape mental health.

Together, we focus on safety, transparency, and empowerment while moving at a pace that feels manageable for you. As therapy progresses, we regularly revisit goals and adjust the plan as your needs evolve, sometimes coordinating with other professionals when helpful to support holistic care.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on building trust, understanding what brings you to therapy, and identifying what feels most important right now. You can expect an environment that prioritizes psychological safety, choice, and collaboration.

Clients often describe therapy with me as empowering and grounding. Over time, we’ll work toward strengthening self-trust, amplifying your voice, and translating insight into meaningful action and growth, always with respect for your pace and priorities.
