Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Mayra Bonilla, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I help individuals who find themselves repeating patterns in relationships, like overgiving, pulling away, or feeling unsure of their worth.

Together, we’ll explore how your past experiences may be shaping the way you connect with others today. I support clients with anxiety, relationship challenges, and emotional overwhelm, helping them build more secure, confident ways of relating.

My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and able to grow into the version of yourself you want to be.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you understand yourself on a deeper level. I pay close attention to patterns in your relationships, including how you show up, how you connect, and what might be getting in the way of the kind of relationships you want.

Together, we will explore how past experiences have shaped your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and work on building more secure and confident ways of relating to yourself and others. I integrate practical tools with deeper emotional work so you can not only gain insight but also experience real change in your day to day life.

I strive to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and able to be fully yourself without judgment.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a supportive and welcoming space where we begin getting to know each other. I will ask about what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and any important background that can help me better understand your experiences.

We will also start to identify patterns in your relationships, emotions, and day to day life, while exploring what you would like to gain from therapy. Together, we will begin setting goals that feel meaningful and realistic for you.

My priority is to create an environment where you feel comfortable, heard, and not judged, so you can show up as you are and begin the process of change at your own pace.
