During our first session, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and comfortable being yourself. You don't have to have everything figured out before you come in. I may ask questions about what you've been experiencing, how it's affecting your day-to-day life, your relationships, your history, and what you hope to get out of therapy. We'll discuss what you can expect from me as your therapist, including confidentiality, its limits, how we will work together, and what therapy may look like moving forward. My role is to listen, help you understand yourself and your experiences, identify patterns that may be getting in the way, and work with you toward the changes that are meaningful to you.
