Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Mayra, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping individuals and couples reconnect with themselves and create more fulfilling, meaningful lives.

I earned my degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and have worked in a variety of settings, including providing individual, couples, and group therapy. My background includes leading Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), where I supported clients in developing emotional awareness, regulation, and healthier relational patterns.

I believe that healing begins with awareness, honesty, and compassion. In our work together, I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences, reconnect with your authentic self, and build the tools needed to move forward with clarity and confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in authenticity. I believe that healing happens when you feel safe enough to be fully seen, without judgment, pressure, or the need to “have it all together.”

I work from a holistic lens, supporting the connection between mind, body, and emotions. Rather than focusing only on thoughts, I help clients build awareness of what they’re feeling in their bodies and nervous system, allowing deeper processing and lasting change. I often integrate somatic work, EMDR-informed techniques, and mindfulness practices to support this process.

I specialize in working with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, trauma, and patterns of emotional disconnection. Many of the clients I work with are high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unfulfilled internally. Together, we explore the underlying patterns, often rooted in early experiences, that continue to show up in present-day relationships and self-perception.

My style is both gentle and honest. I will meet you with compassion while also helping you build awareness and accountability, so you can begin making aligned choices that support your growth. I don’t see clients as problems to be fixed, but as individuals with the capacity to heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves.

What you can expect from me

In our work together, common goals include increasing emotional awareness and regulation, building healthier boundaries, improving communication in relationships, processing unresolved trauma, and developing a stronger sense of self-worth.

Ultimately, my goal is to help you feel more grounded, emotionally connected, and empowered in your life and relationships.
