Great to meet you!

Maybe you have a good sense of what’s happening, yet still find yourself repeating the same patterns. You understand your reactions, perhaps even know what you “should” do, but in the moments that matter, something takes over. Anxiety, self-criticism, old wounds, or familiar ways of relating can keep pulling you back.

I know this experience personally. I came to therapy hoping to get rid of difficult feelings, only to discover the power of learning to understand and make space for them. That experience deeply shaped the way I work today.

With over 15 years of clinical experience, I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional and relational difficulties. My style is warm, active, collaborative, and experiential. Rather than only talking about what happens outside of therapy, we’ll pay attention to what unfolds in the present moment, including thoughts, emotions, and body sensations, creating opportunities to respond differently.

I believe therapy can help you develop a different relationship with yourself, not simply understand why you feel the way you do, but experience greater freedom and choice in how you respond. I also maintain a regular mindfulness practice, which supports the grounded and attentive presence I bring to our work.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative and experiential. I draw from IFS, somatic, mindfulness, compassion-based, and attachment approaches, informed by neuroscience. Rather than relying on one method, I tailor our work to what you need and what emerges in the moment.

Our work goes beyond insight. We may slow down and notice what is happening in your thoughts, emotions, body, or different parts of yourself, becoming curious about reactions that may otherwise feel automatic or difficult to understand. Instead of trying to get rid of these experiences, we explore what lies beneath them and what they may be trying to communicate or protect.

Over time, the goal is not simply to understand yourself differently, but to develop a different relationship with your inner experience and greater freedom in how you respond.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. I’ll invite you to share what feels most important right now, what has been difficult, and what you hope might be different. There is no pressure to have everything figured out, we’ll start where you are and move at a pace that feels right for you.

I’ll also begin paying attention to the patterns, emotions, and reactions that show up as we talk, while staying curious about what may be underneath them. From the beginning, I take an active and collaborative approach, so you can expect questions, reflection, honesty, and gentle challenge when it feels useful.

By the end of the session, my hope is that you feel understood, have a clearer sense of what we might work on together, and have a better sense of whether my approach feels right for you.
