I’m a licensed therapist with over eight years of experience in community mental health and three years in private practice. My background includes working in homeless services and supporting individuals living with severe mental illness, including psychosis, trauma, anxiety, and depression.
I care deeply about creating a space that feels steady, respectful, and nonjudgmental. I don’t see people as problems to fix. I see patterns that made sense at one time and may no longer be serving you. My work is rooted in building trust and moving at a pace that feels safe enough for real change.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in nervous system awareness. I don’t see myself as the expert on your life. Instead, we work together to understand the experiences that shaped you, how your nervous system learned to adapt, and what might now be ready to shift or heal.
I integrate experiential and evidence-based practices that go beyond traditional talk therapy. This may include somatic awareness, attachment-focused work, parts work, and practical tools for emotional regulation. Our work together is both reflective and active. We explore patterns and build insight while also practicing new ways of relating to yourself, your emotions, and the people in your life.
Above all, I aim to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported as you reconnect with your own inner wisdom and capacity for change.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you in. My focus is on creating a sense of safety, connection, and understanding from the start. We’ll talk about what’s been feeling difficult, what you’re hoping for in therapy, and any background that may help give context to your experience.
You can expect a calm, thoughtful pace. I may ask questions to better understand your story, but there’s no pressure to share more than feels comfortable. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, with a clearer sense of possible next steps and whether working together feels like a good fit.
If it feels helpful, I’m also happy to offer a brief 15-minute consultation call so we can connect, answer any questions you may have, and see if my approach feels right for you.
