Hi there! I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years experience working in the San Francisco Bay Area. I received my bachelor's degree from University of Hawaii in 2011, and my master's in counseling psychology with a specialization in Somatic Psychology from John F Kennedy University in 2015.
I help clients through the use of traditional talk therapy and processing, as well as Somatic Experiencing (SE) that helps get to the root mental health struggles. Symptoms like depression, anxiety, dissociation, addiction, chronic pain, panic attacks are a result of dysregulation in nervous system. Working with me we will heal your nervous system and help you gain ease, emotional stability, and clarity.
I'm here to listen and guide you at your own pace an remind you that there is no rush and healing happens when we are present, when we slow down. Sessions are generally a combination of you telling your story, and then me guiding you to sit with emotions, feelings, and body sensations. Additionally, Im focused on solutions and getting you back into the world and living life fully. The point of therapy is to eventually not need it!
