Dr. Medina, DNP is a doctoral prepared psychiatrist nurse practitioner .She specializes in evidence-based psychiatric medication management of adults, with a focus on treatment of depression, and anxiety without the use of controlled substances. She is passionate about providing quality, compassionate and comprehensive mental health care. As a DNP, her role is multifaceted as she practices, as an educator, mental health advocate, therapist, and medication manager.

My approach to therapy

In the first visit, we will begin with a warm and nonjudgmental dialogue focusing on developing a comprehensive treatment plan. Treatment plans may include traditional psychiatric medication and/or non-pharmacologic complementary approaches. In most cases, I will also be collaborating with other professionals that are caring for you. We will continue with your treatment plan in follow up visits, always reassessing your goals and progress toward your personal healing

A pathway to healing, I offer active listening, thorough assessment, information gathering, diagnostics evaluation, and medication management. I support and also encourage rest, nutrition, counseling, and other supportive therapies
