Great to meet you!

I built my career in high-acuity psychiatry, working with specialized populations where diagnostic accuracy and complex medication management are standard practice. That is the rigor I bring to children, adolescents, and adults in my care. With me, you can expect real questions, unhurried conversation, and an honest read on what is actually going on.

Medication is rarely the whole answer, so I build practical strategies and education into our sessions, and when you need more than that, I will name the specific therapy modality that fits your presentation rather than send you off with a generic referral.

Some clients come to me to safely simplify a complicated regimen. Others arrive after years of treatment that never quite worked. Many just want a clear diagnosis and a plan they can follow. Whatever brings you here, your whole picture will be taken seriously.

My approach to therapy

My prescribing is conservative. I aim for the fewest medications that account for your symptoms, and I would rather simplify a regimen than keep adding to it. I have worked extensively with clients whose treatment stopped working, so I know the difference between a medication problem and a diagnosis problem, and I check for both. Before adjusting anything, I rule out medical causes that drive mood, sleep, and concentration problems, ordering targeted labs when they will clarify the picture. You will always know the reasoning behind the plan - clients who understand their treatment do better with it.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a full evaluation, not a quick medication visit. We go through your history properly - what you have tried, what worked, what did not, and what daily life actually looks like right now. I review prior records and prescriptions where available, and I ask real questions rather than running down a checklist. You will leave with my honest read on what is going on, a plan we built together, and specific next steps, including what we are deliberately not doing and why. If medication is part of it, you will know exactly what each one is for.
