Great to meet you!

My name is Megan Alvarado, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting individuals across the lifespan. I dedicated a substantial portion of my post-graduate training to crisis management in a variety of settings, building a strong foundation in working with adolescents and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions.

In recent years, I have expanded my clinical focus to include supporting parents as they navigate family conflict, relational stress, and the emotional demands of caregiving. I also work with older adults adjusting to changes in independence, mobility, health, and life roles, providing emotional support and comfort, including during hospice and end-of-life care.

I strive to create a compassionate, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where clients feel supported, heard, and empowered. I specialize in anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, relationship concerns, trauma, and major life transitions.

My approach to therapy

I take a relaxed, collaborative approach to therapy, grounded in empathy, understanding, and evidence-based practices. I work closely with clients to tailor treatment to their individual needs, goals, and lived experiences.

What you can expect from me

During our initial session, you can anticipate a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere where you feel safe to express yourself openly. We'll begin by discussing goals and aspirations, allowing you to share your thoughts, concerns, and hopes for therapy. We'll explore how we can work collaboratively to address these goals and create a path toward achieving them. Ultimately, your comfort and well-being are paramount, and I'm here to support you every step of the way.
