Great to meet you!

I grew up in Dallas, graduated from the University of Texas and then attended graduate school at Assumption University because of its affiliation with the Beck Institute for CBT. My clinical training was focused on a cognitive behavioral approach to treating mental health & substance use disorders. I am also trained in Dialectical-Behavior Therapy & I utilize this skills-based approach to help individuals struggling to build & maintain relationships, manage their emotions or crises effectively.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is problem-focused and very much operates in the present. I collaborate with clients to identify goals, develop skills, and implement them in a structured way. The area of focus in therapy tends to be on reframing unhelpful thought patterns or changing behaviors with the end goal of improving mood or circumstance.

What you can expect from me

Everyone struggles with something, sometimes - anxiety/worry, depression, relationship issues, work stress, substance use, or uncomfortable feelings. It can also be extremely difficult to find balance and perspective sometimes. My goal is to provide a safe and organized framework for identifying these problems and developing new skills or ways of thinking about them. Ultimately I help my clients develop the tools needed to manage independently and live a life they're excited about.
