Great to meet you!

Hey there! My name is Megan Ballou and I am a practicing Marriage and Family Therapist in Middle TN. I got my masters degree from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2018 and immediately started practicing in the field. Since then I have become fully trained in EMDR and work heavily with those suffering from grief and/or trauma. I also specialize in young adults who are trying to learn about themselves and discover who they want to become.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is done in a collaborative way where you will feel a part of the process. Together we will discover those underlying issues that are creating the unwanted behaviors seen. Through the integration of faith, let's quickly identify core issues, resolve conflicts/traumas, recover relational connections and get you back on the right track to the life you want.

What you can expect from me

Therapy can be so scary and intimidating, but doesn't have to be done alone. Through this collaborative effort, we will work together through your challenges and obstacles so that you can get back what is yours. I will encourage and push you towards those areas that are uncomfortable, but at a pace that feels doable and safe. It is my goal to create a space where you feel seen and heard at all times with no judgements. Oftentimes you will leave with homework, not to be graded, but tools that you can use and apply outside of your session time.
