Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Megan Bishop, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I have experience working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, substance use concerns, and other emotional and behavioral health needs.

I hold a Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development and an MBA, and I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Executive Leadership. My therapeutic approach is supportive, collaborative, and individualized, with a strong focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I strive to provide a comfortable, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported while developing practical skills to create meaningful change in their lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is supportive, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s individual needs. I believe in meeting clients where they are and creating a comfortable, nonjudgmental space where they can be open and feel genuinely heard. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical coping skills for everyday life. I work with concerns such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and substance use, with a focus on helping clients build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and talk about what brought you to therapy. My goal is to create a relaxed, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable being yourself. We’ll discuss your concerns, what you hope to gain from therapy, and begin identifying goals that feel realistic and meaningful to you. There is no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with—I believe in building trust and moving at a pace that works for you.
