Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with six years of counseling experience and twelve years in the mental health field. I have worked in inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings, as well as case management with adults experiencing severe mental illness. I specialize in working with teenagers and young adults, focusing on life transitions, relationship stress, and personal growth. My goal is to provide a supportive space where clients feel understood and empowered to navigate their mental health.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, direct, and supportive, while also being willing to challenge clients when needed. I strive to create a nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and comfortable being honest about their experiences. I believe growth often comes from stepping outside of our comfort zones and work collaboratively with clients to identify patterns and challenge unhelpful thoughts or behaviors. I also provide practical tools and techniques to help clients better understand and navigate their mental health. My goal is to empower clients with skills they can use both in and outside of therapy to create meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can share their history, what brought them to therapy, and what they hope to work toward, while setting the pace and sharing only what feels comfortable. I understand that starting therapy can feel unfamiliar, vulnerable, or anxiety-provoking, and I work to normalize and validate those feelings in a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space. Clients are encouraged to ask questions and learn more about my approach and what therapy may look like. I provide support, guidance, and practical tools while meeting clients where they are. Most importantly, the first session is an opportunity to begin building a therapeutic relationship and determine if we are a good fit.
