Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 10 years of experience in the mental and behavioral health field. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, across different age groups, and in a variety of treatment settings. My experience includes providing individual, group, and family therapy, as well as collaborating with outside providers and support systems to ensure clients receive comprehensive, coordinated care.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, self-esteem and body image concerns, grief and loss, stress, anger management, and life transitions. I also have experience supporting individuals navigating substance use concerns, chronic mental health conditions, school-related challenges, and the transition into adulthood. I have specialized training in trauma-informed care and experience helping individuals who are experiencing suicidal thoughts, including developing individualized safety plans and identifying appropriate supports.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be a collaborative and supportive process where individuals feel heard, understood, respected, and empowered. My therapeutic approach is primarily strength-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed, recognizing that each individual brings their own experiences, strengths, and abilities to the therapeutic relationship.

I believe it is important to meet clients where they are in their journey and recognize that growth and change look different for everyone. Building trust is an essential part of the therapeutic relationship and provides the foundation for meaningful progress. I am committed to my clients and the therapeutic process, and I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where individuals feel comfortable exploring their experiences, identifying underlying concerns, and working toward positive change.

I take an integrative approach and incorporate a variety of evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I tailor my approach to meet each client's unique needs, goals, and circumstances, with an emphasis on developing practical coping strategies that can be applied to everyday life.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to help individuals develop healthier coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, build confidence and self-esteem, strengthen communication and assertiveness skills, and navigate life's challenges with greater independence. I enjoy helping clients better understand themselves, improve mood stability, work through relationship conflicts, and develop the tools needed to improve their overall well-being and daily functioning.

I recognize that reaching out for support can sometimes feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. I strive to provide an environment where you feel supported, valued, and empowered to work toward your goals at your own pace. Therapy is a journey, and I look forward to partnering with you as you work toward growth, healing, and improved emotional well-being.
