Great to meet you!

First, I want to thank you for taking this meaningful step in reaching out. Beginning therapy can feel like a big decision, and I’m honored to be part of what I hope will be a truly life-changing journey for you.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience, working both in private practice and as a school counselor. I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples, typically ranging in age from 12 to 65.

My approach is warm, supportive, and tailored to each individual. I strive to create a safe and comfortable space where clients feel free to express themselves openly. With younger clients, this may include play-based techniques, while with others, we focus on building practical strategies for emotional regulation and working through unhelpful or negative thought patterns. I am also an affirming clinician who proudly supports members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Above all, my goal is for every client to feel seen, heard, and genuinely supported throughout the therapeutic process. I look forward to meeting you and walking alongside you on your journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. I place a strong emphasis on building rapport and creating a safe, supportive environment where you feel comfortable being open and authentic. Establishing trust is an essential foundation of our work together, and I strive to ensure you feel seen, heard, and respected every step of the way.

I utilize a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Adlerian, Person-Centered, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). By integrating these modalities, I help clients better understand themselves, identify patterns in thoughts and behaviors, and develop meaningful strategies for growth. Together, we will focus on strengthening emotional regulation, implementing healthy coping skills, improving communication, and building resilience when facing life’s challenges.

I also believe that growth continues beyond our sessions, so I often incorporate individualized “homework” or reflective activities to help reinforce the skills we explore in therapy. These may include journaling, practicing coping strategies, or applying new communication techniques in real-life situations—all at a pace that feels manageable and supportive for you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session will feel welcoming, supportive, and focused on helping you feel at ease. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can share at your own pace.

We’ll spend time getting to know each other, discussing what brings you to therapy, your current challenges, and what you hope to gain. There’s no pressure to share everything right away—this is your space.

Together, we’ll begin identifying meaningful, realistic goals, such as building coping skills, improving communication, or working through difficult experiences. I take a collaborative approach, creating a plan that reflects your needs and values.

My goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and hopeful as we begin this work together.
