Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 19 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, focused on helping young people feel safe, understood, and capable of managing big emotions and life’s challenges.

I specialize in concerns such as anxiety, emotional regulation, school stress, social difficulties, and ADHD. In our work together, I use evidence-based, developmentally appropriate strategies while also partnering closely with parents to build skills that carry into daily life at home and school.

Families often describe my style as calm, compassionate, and easy to connect with. My goal is to create a supportive space where children can grow in confidence and where parents feel guided, encouraged, and never alone in the process.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and skill-focused. I use evidence-based, developmentally appropriate strategies to help children and teens better understand their emotions, build coping skills, and feel more confident in daily life.

I often integrate elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), play-based techniques, and social-emotional learning, while also partnering closely with parents to support progress at home and school. I believe meaningful change happens when children feel safe, understood, and supported — and when families feel equipped with practical tools they can use outside of sessions.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, my primary goal is to help your child and family feel comfortable, welcomed, and understood. We will spend time getting to know one another, talking about your concerns, your child’s strengths, and what you hope to see change or improve through therapy.

I will ask questions to better understand your child’s emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs, and I will also explain how I typically work with children and families. There is no pressure for your child to share more than they feel ready to — building trust and safety always comes first.

By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of next steps and how we can work together to support your child’s growth and well-being.
