Great to meet you!

Maybe intrusive thoughts or compulsions are taking over your day. Maybe your child has tics, big emotions, or trouble focusing, or you're an adult with ADHD or autism who's tired of feeling burned out. Searching for a therapist isn't easy, and I'm glad you're here.

I'm Megan, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Behavior Analyst with master's degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Applied Behavior Analysis, plus an undergraduate background in exercise science. I work with children (7+), teens, and adults facing anxiety, OCD, panic, ADHD, autism and neurodivergence, executive functioning challenges, emotional regulation, burnout, and life transitions. I'm also certified in Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), the leading behavioral treatment for tics and Tourette's.

My approach to therapy

Therapy works best as a true collaboration. I may have gone to school for counseling, but you're the expert on your own experiences, your body, and how a strategy feels. If something isn't working, I want you to feel safe enough to tell me, and we'll adjust. For OCD, I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help you face fears step by step so compulsions lose their grip. For tics, I use CBIT to teach practical strategies that reduce them. I also draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Behavioral Activation, and my behavior analysis background keeps our work practical and skill-focused. Expect warmth, a little humor, and real tools you can use outside of session.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a time for you to share what brings you to therapy and what you're hoping to gain. I'll offer a warm, calm space where you can feel safe being open. For younger clients, I'll usually start with a parent or caregiver to understand what's happening at home and school. You don't need to have it all figured out. In follow-up sessions, we'll work together toward your goals and build skills and strategies that support you outside of therapy.
