Great to meet you!

For over 10 years, I have dedicated my practice to supporting children, teenagers, and their families through life's ups and downs. Whether your child is facing a specifically challenging or traumatic season, or simply trying to navigate the everyday stressors of growing up, my goal is to provide them with concrete, healthy coping skills to help them thrive.

I believe that true healing and growth happen within the context of the family. Because of this, a vital part of my work involves partnering directly with parents. I am passionate about helping you support your child, encouraging healthy communication, and establish clear, loving boundaries. Together, we can create a supportive home environment that allows your child to build resilience, find their voice, and truly be the best they can be.

My approach to therapy

Every child and family is unique, which is why I tailer my therapeutic approach to fit your specific needs and goals. I provide a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where both kids and parents feel heard and sported.

Areas of Focus:

  • Children & Teens: Developing emotional regulation, building healthy coping tools, navigating school stress, and managing life transitions.
  • Parents & Families: Strengthening parent-child relationships, improving communication breakdowns, and implementing effective, healthy boundary-setting.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, my main priority is to take the pressure off. Clients, both kids and parents, can expect a warm, collaborative, and entirely non-judgmental environment where they feel safe to share their story at their own pace.

Here is what the first step typically looks like:

  • Creating a Safe Space: For children and teens, the first session is all about building trust and comfort. It's a low-pressure environment where they can express themselves freely. For parents, it's a space where their concerns are heard and validated without blame.
  • Understanding Your Story: We will talk about what brings your family to therapy right now, exploring both the immediate stressors (like specific life transition) and everyday challenges.
  • Setting Initial Goals: We will collaborate on a roadmap for our work together. Typical outcomes we target from day one include identifying specific, healthy coping skills for the child to practice, and pinpointing ways parents can encourage healthy communication and clear boundaries at home.
