Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Megan! I'm here to be a listening ear for whatever struggle you may be facing. You don't have to carry everything on your own. Many things come at us in life. Some are joyous, some are confusing, and some are painful. It is possible to overcome, and having someone to give you a caring space can make all the difference. I hope to be able to do that for you.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating OCD, grief, anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma and PTSD, life transitions, parenting challenges, and spirituality. I also support individuals and families working through adoption issues, behavioral challenges, family conflict, first responder stress, sexuality concerns, relationship issues, school struggles, self-esteem, sexual abuse, and more.

I have a lot of experience with children and their parents as well as individuals. I have experience providing therapy to children, families, and adults, including supporting children and mothers in shelter settings. I offer an open heart, a caring ear, and training in a variety of therapeutic approaches to help you navigate anxiety, trauma, and life challenges in a supportive space. We spend lifetimes changing and growing, being challenged, and healing. I would love to help you do all of those things.

My approach to therapy

I am trained in various modalities including TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), CBT, TIR (Traumatic Incident Reduction), CPP (Child Parent Psychotherapy), DBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), play therapy, and mindful practices. However, each individual's needs are different and not just one modality is useful. I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs, whether you're a young child who learns best through play, a teen who needs space to process, or an adult working through trauma or life transitions.

My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where you feel safe being yourself, opening up honestly, and taking meaningful steps toward healing and growth. In our work together, we will explore your experiences with compassion and curiosity while building healthier coping skills, stronger confidence, and a greater sense of balance in daily life. You can count on me to meet you where you are and help you move towards where you want to be.

What you can expect from me

I like to spend first sessions getting to know you and what is on your mind and heart. From there, we determine goals and how we will go about trying to accomplish them. Sometimes just having a place to be heard helps clients to feel better soon, but from there it takes some searching and reflecting in order to heal.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for change, I'm here to help you move forward. If you're ready to take the next step, I'm here for you.
