Great to meet you!

Sometimes the hardest part isn't knowing that something needs to change — it's figuring out where to begin. Hi there, I'm Megan, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master of Social Work degree from Texas State University. I've worked with adolescents, young adults, and adults across correctional, inpatient, outpatient, and private practice settings. Throughout my career, I've supported individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, alcohol and substance use, relationship issues, emotional regulation challenges, stress, and major life transitions. These experiences have taught me that everyone's story is different, and no one should feel defined by their struggles. My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where you can feel understood, recognize your strengths, and begin building a healthier, more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

I recognize that beginning therapy can feel intimidating, and you don't have to have everything figured out to get started. My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also incorporate somatic techniques to help clients develop a deeper awareness of the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, build practical coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop a more meaningful connection with yourself and others. Whether you're navigating a difficult season, feeling overwhelmed by stress, or simply wanting to better understand your patterns and behaviors, I strive to meet you where you are and support you in creating lasting, meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, discuss what brings you to therapy, and begin identifying what you hope to gain from the process. My goal is to create a comfortable, welcoming space where you feel heard, respected, and free to show up as you are. We’ll explore your current concerns, relevant experiences, and personal strengths while beginning to identify goals that feel meaningful to you. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and there is no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. I believe growth happens when we feel supported enough to be honest with ourselves and curious enough to explore new possibilities. I look forward to working alongside you as you move toward greater self-awareness, confidence, and emotional well-being.
