Great to meet you!

My curiosity about the human experience and desire to help others led me to become a therapist. My experience over the past 14 years has strengthened my conviction that therapy can empower, heal and change. My specialization is grief and bereavement, but I have experience working with a vast array of individuals and families of all ages. Some of my clients have mental health diagnoses, but others simply need help facing challenges in a challenging world.

My approach to therapy

My training is in psychodynamic and relational therapy. I believe strongly that our past colors our present. My approach is to allow clients to explore and process their thoughts and feelings, and together, gain insight. I have had successful therapeutic relationships with individuals who are new to therapy, as well as those individuals who have tried therapy before and found it lacking.

What you can expect from me

An initial session would be focused on getting to know you. Seeking therapy can be scary and it is important for me to create a warm and comfortable environment. Subsequent sessions would focus on establishing goals that you would like to work on in our time together. Therapy is a journey inward. You are the driver of the treatment, and my job is to help you to recognize patterns and gain insight.
