Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for supporting adults of all ages and backgrounds who are navigating anxiety, loss, uncertainty, or feeling 'stuck'. I see many people who express an uneasiness between the face they feel they need to show the world and the way they feel internally. If this sounds familiar, I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space away from the pressures of everyday life to slow down and effectively explore your deepest concerns.

Before returning to school for an MSW, I worked in a creative professional field. I believe that living itself is a creative act, worthy of ongoing examination and the application of intention. I also have special experience with people who have been impacted by the criminal legal system. My varied background gives me depth to work effectively with a diversity of challenges including anxiety, major life transitions, grief and loss, anger management, career and relationship challenges, effects of trauma, and impacts of interpersonal or systemic harm.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is individualized, blending humanistic, psychodynamic, and strengths-based approaches with tools from CBT, DBT, and somatic work. I believe much of what shows up as stresses in people can be understood in terms of deep roots and old relational patterns; we may explore those together at your own pace. I welcome journaling, dreamwork, and other forms of creative expression as a part of our process.

In all cases, the most successful therapy arises from a solid, trust-based, mutually respectful relationship, so building and maintaining that foundation will be an important part of our work together.

What you can expect from me

At the first session you can expect some more information about therapy, a few initial assessment questions, and a lot of space to share what you are bringing. I will also answer any questions or concerns that you may have. Then, together, we will start to identify next steps toward the changes that you are looking to see.
