Great to meet you!

Please note appointments are booked directly with me and should not be booked directly in Headway.

Hello, and welcome. I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with 28 years of experience as a registered nurse, including the last 11 years dedicated exclusively to psychiatric and mental health care. I bring a compassionate, trauma-informed, and nonjudgmental approach to working with adolescents (ages 13 and up) and adults navigating a variety of mental health concerns.

My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, and substance use disorders. I also support individuals facing life transitions, emotional overwhelm, or who simply feel stuck and are ready to explore change.

I believe that healing begins with connection, and I strive to create a warm and respectful therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, empowered, and deeply understood. My clinical work is grounded in motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care, and I take time to collaborate with each client on a treatment plan that reflects their values and goals.

As a prescriber, I offer thoughtful and individualized medication management, always aiming for clarity, education, and shared decision-making. Whether you’re just beginning your mental health journey or continuing care, I would be honored to walk alongside you with support, empathy, and expertise.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in warmth, respect, and collaboration. I believe that feeling emotionally safe and genuinely heard is the foundation of meaningful mental health care. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or substance use challenges, I meet you where you are—with curiosity, not judgment—and help you move toward where you want to be.

What you can expect from me

Clients often tell me they feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported in our sessions. I create a calm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where it’s safe to talk honestly about what you’re going through—whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use challenges, or just feeling stuck and unsure where to begin.

In our work together, you can expect:

  • A respectful and collaborative relationship, where your voice, experiences, and preferences shape the direction of treatment.
  • Personalized medication management, with time to ask questions, express concerns, and fully understand your options—nothing is rushed or one-size-fits-all.
  • Goal-oriented sessions that help you build insight, emotional resilience, and practical strategies for navigating daily life.
  • A space where progress happens at your pace—whether you're working toward emotional stability, reducing symptoms, improving relationships, or deepening self-awareness.

My goal is for you to leave each session with more clarity, self-compassion, and a sense of feeling just a little more grounded and empowered than when you arrived. Over time, we’ll build toward lasting change that reflects your values and supports your overall well-being.
