Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with experience working with children, adolescents, and adults facing a variety of mental health and life challenges. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University and currently serve in a clinical leadership role within community-based behavioral health.

My approach to counseling is supportive, collaborative, and solution-focused. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused techniques to help clients recognize patterns, build practical coping skills, identify their strengths, and create meaningful changes in their lives.

I have experience supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, stress, emotional regulation difficulties, and major life transitions. I believe therapy should be a space where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves. My goal is to meet you where you are while helping you develop the tools and confidence needed to move toward the life you want.

My approach to therapy

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. My goal is to create a welcoming, comfortable space where you can show up as you are, feel heard without judgment, and talk openly about what’s happening in your life.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and strengths-based techniques, but I tailor our work to you and what you need. We’ll focus not only on what’s challenging you, but also on the strengths you already have and how we can build on them.

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, mood concerns, stress, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Therapy with me is about more than simply talking about problems. Together, we’ll work toward understanding patterns, developing practical coping skills, building confidence, and creating meaningful changes that feel realistic for your life.

Most importantly, I want therapy to feel like a partnership. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you while working toward the goals that matter most to you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin creating a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we will move at a pace that feels right for you.

During our first meeting, I’ll invite you to talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been weighing on you, and what you hope will be different as a result of our work together. We’ll also explore your strengths, current challenges, support system, and any previous experiences with counseling.

Together, we’ll begin identifying realistic goals for therapy and discuss what you would like to focus on moving forward. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling understood, hopeful, and clear about the next steps. Therapy is your space, and we will work together to make sure our sessions are meaningful, supportive, and focused on what matters most to you.
