Great to meet you!

Welcome! I'm a compassionate and experienced Independent Licensed Social Worker (LISW, MSSW) with over 14 years of diverse and direct practice experience. Experienced in working a wide variety of social services specialization including federal clinical psychotherapy for active-duty military members; State; local non-profit; and corporate personal health coach; community behavioral health; integrated healthcare-brief intervention, crisis intervention; medical social work; victim advocate; Americorps non-profit volunteer; and extensive experience working with at-risk populations including juvenile status offenders, substance use disorders, and completion of the Public Child Welfare Certification Program.

I'm dedicated to helping children and adults navigate the complexity of stress in their lives. I am passionate about my work in mental health and have a strong therapeutic support system. My relationship with therapy has had a profoundly positive influence on my life and the goal in my practice is to instill those same benefits in you.

My approach to therapy

Currently serving as a federal civilian psychotherapist for the active-duty military population, full-time. Trained in a variety of modalities of treatment, including trauma focused modalities: EMDR-Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing; DBT-Dialectical Behavioral Therapy; CBT-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, TF-CBT-Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, CPT-Cognitive Processing Therapy; PE-Prolonged Exposure; ACT-Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. CBT-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Solution-Focused Therapy; MI-Motivational Therapy; Psychodynamic Therapy; Group Therapy; Mindfulness Based Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy. Clinical focus on trauma-informed care; anxiety and depression; grief counseling; personality disorders and adjustment related disorders.

What you can expect from me

I often begin sessions with rapport building; addressing presenting concerns; identification of treatment goals and discussion of a preferred modality of treatment. Together, we will explore challenges with curiosity and non-judgement, and additional goals of learning adaptive coping strategies, emotional awareness and emotional regulation skills.
