Great to meet you!

I’m Megan Smith, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with adults navigating trauma, ADHD, autism, and the exhaustion of having to stay “strong” for too long. I’m trained in EMDR and use a person-centered, relational style that’s collaborative, validating, and paced with care. Together, we’ll make sense of how your past and your nervous system are affecting you now, without shame or pressure to fix yourself.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy centers on safety, connection, and compassion. I blend EMDR with a person-centered approach to help you notice patterns, process difficult experiences, and honor your neurodivergence at a pace that feels manageable. I’m gentle, honest, and engaged, and I want you to feel supported as we build more clarity, trust, and room for you to be yourself.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a calm, low-pressure space to talk about what’s bringing you in and what you hope will feel different. We’ll go over your history at a pace that feels comfortable, begin identifying your goals, and explore what kind of support would be most helpful right now. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, grounded, and hopeful about our work together.
