Great to meet you!

Megan Thiel is a licensed clinical social worker and board approved clinical supervisor. She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Tulane University. Megan has had a variety of social work experience. She first began working in a mental health rehabilitation program where she worked with children and adolescents in the community, home, and school settings. She later worked in school settings, contracted for the department of defense, and worked with children through adults at FQHCs.

My approach to therapy

Megan recognizes that not everyone might be familiar with talking to a therapist and she wants everyone to feel comfortable getting the help they want. She meets clients where they are at and helps find tools and/or resources depending on what they need and want. Megan is trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities including: TF-CBT, prolonged exposure therapy, EMDR, CBT, Traumatic-Grief Component Therapy for Adolescents, CBITS, and Triple P.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to take away a sense of validation and understanding from Megan. She has been told that she is easy to talk to and has a comforting voice. She wants her clients to get what they need and will help patients reach their goals.
