Great to meet you!

Many people who seek therapy are thoughtful, capable individuals who find themselves stuck in patterns that no longer serve them—whether in relationships, emotional reactions, or the way they carry past experiences. Therapy can offer the space to slow down, gain clarity, and begin making meaningful changes.

I'm Megan Tillman, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade of experience counseling individuals, couples, and families. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they better understand themselves, process difficult experiences, and move toward healthier relationships and a more grounded sense of well-being.

I frequently work with concerns related to trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship struggles, and women's issues. I work with clients from many backgrounds and enjoy integrating Christian faith into the counseling process for those who desire it.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented. I work from a systemic perspective, helping clients explore the deeper patterns, relationships, and past experiences that shape how they think, feel, and respond today.

I am trained in EMDR, the BLAST Technique, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and I integrate these evidence-based approaches when appropriate. These methods can be particularly helpful for processing trauma, strengthening relationships, and creating lasting change at a deeper level rather than simply managing symptoms.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to begin understanding your story and what has led you to seek therapy at this point in your life. I’ll ask questions about your experiences, current concerns, and the changes you hope to see moving forward.

Just as importantly, it’s a chance for you to get a sense of whether our work together feels like a good fit. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable sharing openly and where we can begin identifying patterns, clarifying goals, and developing a path toward meaningful growth and healing.
