Megan Winters

Hi there! I'm Megan and I'm so glad you found me! My background is in elementary education and I was a teacher and a school counselor before I became an LPC. I went to Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas where I received my M.Ed. in School Counseling and attended the University of Texas at Arlington for my undergrad. I enjoy working with all ages and genders and am comfortable addressing a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, goal setting, communication, and life changes.

My approach to therapy is very much client centered and I enjoy spending time getting to know you as we walk the path to mental wellness. I am happy to set goals and help you reach them, as well as offer you a space to process at your own pace, or aid in identifying coping skills to handle any challenges life sends your way.

I have many clients who describe our sessions as a comforting visit between friends. My goal as a therapist is that clients leave each session feeling lighter, and with a sense of purpose.
