Great to meet you!

Hi I'm, Meghan Balliett, and I bring a wealth of experience to my practice, having earned my Bachelor's in Family and Child Sciences and Master's in Social Work from Florida State University. With a diverse background in community mental health, the VA Hospital, and providing support to students in both high school and elementary school settings for over 13 years, I have honed my ability to connect with individuals, families, couples, and adolescents. I also completed advanced training at the University of Denver in utilizing horses within therapeutic settings, further enhancing my ability to guide clients through emotional healing.

My approach to therapy

I combine traditional talk therapy with interactions with horses to promote healing, personal growth, and emotional well-being. This therapeutic approach uses the natural behavior of horses to mirror and reflect the emotions, actions, and thought patterns of the individual. It’s often used to help individuals struggling with emotional, psychological, or behavioral issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, and relationship challenges.

What you can expect from me

I take an evidence-based and solution-focused approach to therapy, grounded in the belief that everyone is capable of change. By challenging the myths and stigmas surrounding mental health. I strive to empower clients to take control of their emotional well-being, develop coping skills, and thrive in all aspects of their lives.
