Great to meet you!

I'm a therapist and long-time yoga teacher (15+ years) who believes healing isn't just about talking - it's about reconnecting with your body.

I specialize in helping women navigate trauma, anxiety, panic, and overwhelm, using evidence-based, somatic and mindfulness-based approaches to help you feel more grounded, steady and alive.

Therapy with me is warm, real, and collaborative, with space to slow down and listen to what your body/mind/spirit need. Together, we'll work toward helping you feel more like yourself.

My approach to therapy

I always tell my clients that if change were easy, I'd be out of a job. I am humbled by the courage it takes to seek out a therapist and take the steps towards healing, growth, and change. I know it isn't easy.

First, I believe in the healing power of relationships. Being seen, heard, and valued is incredibly powerful medicine. I work hard to establish a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients. I also believe that you ultimately know yourself better than anyone else, it's our job to peel back the layers to return you to that place of inner wisdom and innate wellbeing.

I am trained in somatic modalities for resolving stress, trauma, anxiety and burnout (Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal Theory) as well as evidence-based modalities such as ACT, ERP and CBT.

What you can expect from me

Your goals for therapy chart the course for our sessions. Together we address what you want to work on and go from there.

I like to educate my clients on the WHY for many of their symptoms, especially if they are somatic in nature (anxiety, panic, intrusive thoughts, insomnia). Learning about the nervous system can be quite empowering for many people, and I personally love to geek out on neuroscience.

I naturally incorporate humor, collaboration, messiness, and plain realness into our sessions. I am not a blank slate and you can expect to be heard, welcomed, and even challenged at times during our sessions.
