Great to meet you!

I graduated with my MSW in 2011, and since then I've worked in a few different settings - mostly all involving children and families. I have experience with schools, family court, and child welfare.

My approach to therapy

When I work with kids, I like to be as creative as possible - many of the toys in my office have improvised accessories that kids have made themselves ( a basketball net for the dollhouse made of pipe cleaners, a collection of pretend food made from clay or play dough)

With adults, I try to use humor as much as I can - if you are able to laugh about a problem, sometimes it is easier to think about it differently. I really try to make people feel comfortable or at least like coming to therapy isn't a chore, even though we're doing work.

What you can expect from me

I always start with an introductory session, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. I try to create a warm, welcoming environment that allows you to feel comfortable sharing and being vulnerable, while also feeling secure. From there, we’ll work together in the sessions that follow to make these goals a reality for you.
