Great to meet you!

My name is Mekayla (she/her) and I am a queer affirming, neurodivergence affirming therapist serving Texas residents! I became a therapist because I believe that connection is the key to growth and healing. I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety, relationship issues, neurodivergence and the LGTBQ+ community.

My approach to therapy

In my work as a therapist, I strive to nurture an environment where you can bring your entire self without fear of judgement. I believe the tools for healing are innate, my job is just to help you uncover and strengthen them! I utilize EMDR, CBT, attachment theory and person centered therapy to foster confidence, autonomy and healing in my relationships with clients.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I will prioritize getting a wide-lens snapshot of your history, how things are going now and what you hope to gain from therapy. My goal is to get to know you and your story. I will introduce myself and answer any questions you may have about me or about therapy in general. Feel free to dress comfortably, bring a snack, fidget, or comfort item- all is welcome and celebrated!
