My name is Mekayla (she/her) and I am a queer and neurodivergent identified therapist serving all of Texas through telehealth! I love to work with survivors, overthinkers, overfeelers, the “self-aware”, the LGBTQ+ community, and anyone who has always felt a little “different” than others.
I use an integrated approach to foster confidence, autonomy and healing in my relationships with clients. I often utilize solution-focused narrative therapy, CPT, attachment theory and EMDR. I have a pragmatic, affirming and gently challenging approach. I am LGBTQ+ affirming.
Everyone deserves a place to exhale. In my office I strive to nurture an environment where you can bring your entire self without fear of judgement. My goal is to get to know you and your story. I will introduce myself and answer any questions you may have about me or about therapy in general. Feel free to dress comfortably, bring a snack, fidget, or comfort item- all is welcome and celebrated! In a world where disconnection is the norm, it can be difficult to see a path forward- you don’t have to do it alone. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on your journey!
