Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Mel Alexander and I am a LMFT and Art Therapist working in Southern California. I have a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy and Clinical Art Therapy from Loyola Marymount University. I work with adolescents and adults who are experiencing a variety of struggles and concerns, though I primarily work with anxiety, depression, and trauma.

I love to bring art and creativity into sessions too, if that is something that you would like to explore!

My approach to therapy

I take a person-centered approach to my work. I believe that you are the expert of you and I work to meet you where you are and collaboratively create goals and a path that works best for you!

What you can expect from me

The first session with me will be an intake/assessment session. This will allow me to learn more about you and what might be going on in your life that is leading you to therapy at this time. The first session is also a great time to ask me questions and to see if we feel like a good fit.
