Great to meet you!

Welcome! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering psychotherapy to children, teens, adults, and couples.

I am especially passionate about helping people navigate gender and sexuality issues, trauma, mood disorders, and spiritual/ religious experiences and concerns. I am open-minded and unconventional, and I enjoy working with people who feel they don't fit in to mainstream society for various reasons.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in psychodynamic therapy, which involves focusing on your relationship with yourself and others, and bringing unconscious feelings, thoughts and patterns into consciousness so they can be worked through. Together, we will work to understand the roots of the issue that’s bringing you to therapy, and how patterns from the past show up in your present life situations.

I am not a “worksheets and breathing exercises” kind of therapist. Instead, I work with you to understand your psyche at a deeper level. My goal is to help you feel free to say anything that’s on your mind, to express yourself emotionally, and to know and accept parts of yourself that you may struggle with.

I integrate techniques from Somatic Experiencing (Beginning Level III trained) to resolve the effects of trauma on the body and nervous system and help clients reconnect with their bodies.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will focus on getting to know each other and understanding the problem that's bringing you to therapy.
