Great to meet you!

As a therapist, it is never my job to "save you."

You, your ancestors, your community, your family and friends, and all your resiliency have brought you this far. My job is simply to provide you with a safe space to process your past, and provide you with the necessary tools to thrive all on your own.

I specialize in the treatment of trauma, depression, anxiety, social anxiety, and OCD.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am a bilingual and bicultural licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) and art therapist. With authenticity and empathy, my goal is to deliver culturally sensitive and trauma-informed care services to you. I provide individual therapy sessions in English and Spanish, specifically operating from a social justice oriented approach using CBT and DBT. I am trained in art therapy, as well as EMDR, Brainspotting, and Play Therapy.

What you can expect from our first session

Before we delve into your history of trauma or explore difficult thoughts and emotions, I want you to feel confident in your ability to take care of yourself between sessions. We will achieve this by learning new coping skills to build self-awareness and self-regulation. This process will involve practicing skills in session and in-between sessions. Once we feel prepared to process the past or the present, we will explore that through conversation, through art or bibliotherapy, or EMDR. The last phase of our sessions will involve processing the challenges of ending the therapeutic relationship, and discuss ways for you to prepare for you to do it all on your own.
