Great to meet you!

I’m Melanie Calhoun, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in women’s issues and maternal mental health. I work with women navigating relationships, career stress, parenting, fertility challenges, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Before becoming a therapist, I had a career in marketing and consulting, and as a mother myself, I bring both professional training and lived experience to this work.

My approach to therapy

In therapy, I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions openly. I integrate trauma-informed practices with a womanist, culturally affirming lens to support you in understanding your patterns, reducing distress, and reclaiming your voice.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions with practical tools, deeper self-awareness, and a greater sense of clarity and confidence. Whether we’re working through anxiety, birth trauma, or identity shifts in motherhood, my goal is to help you feel grounded, empowered, and supported in making meaningful changes.
