Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Dr. Melanie Daye, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist practicing in California. I provide individual therapy for adults seeking healing, personal growth, and meaningful change. I believe that each person’s experiences and challenges are unique, which is why I take an integrative approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to meet the specific needs of each client. My work draws from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Existential Therapy. I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe, understood, and supported.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, eating-related concerns, grief, trauma, life transitions, relationship difficulties, work-related stress, physical health challenges, and adjustment to major life changes. I have particular experience working with young adults, college students, women across the lifespan, and professionals in demanding careers, including healthcare and medical settings. My communication style is collaborative, empathic, and supportive, with a strong emphasis on building trust through open and honest dialogue.

My passion for mental health work stems from both professional experience and a deep appreciation for the importance of human connection during difficult times. I understand how transformative it can be to have a safe space where you feel heard, accepted, and supported. My goal is to help clients gain insight, develop effective coping strategies, overcome barriers to growth, and create lasting positive changes that align with their values and goals.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, I focus on understanding your unique experiences, concerns, and hopes for therapy. Together, we will develop a collaborative treatment plan and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship that supports your journey toward healing, resilience, and personal growth.
