Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counseling in the state of Texas with nearly a decade of providing various types of mental health services. I have worked in many fields including crisis work, a domestic violence shelter, a child advocacy center, and long term individual services.

I work with folks experiencing anxiety, perfectionism, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, and people pleasing tendencies. I also do trauma work, including family of origin trauma and caused by childhood abuse and neglect.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I operate, first, from a place of personal experience with many of the issues and symptoms listed above. I couple that with a deeply humanistic approach, as well as feminist, anti-racist, and systemic lenses through which to conceptualize behavior. I believe that all behavior makes sense in context.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients come to me for self-actualization. They can expect relational, conversational sessions where I foster strong rapport, but will also challenge clients with direct questioning and feedback. I always come from a place of deep compassion and empathy, so even in my more direct moments I believe that my clients feel cared for and not judged. I meet people where they are at, and I take everyone's individual needs very seriously.
